The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade says the Irish tourism industry has grown by more than 40% in the past year, with an estimated 11 million visitors visiting the country annually.
However, the Irish government has set up a website to help people plan their holiday, which will be updated daily, with information about the latest tourist arrivals, prices and the best accommodation options.
There will be special travel advice from Tourism Ireland, including advice on the best routes to travel and how to arrange a private stay, and there will also be a range of Irish-language websites available, including www.ieetourism.ie.
